Edifier 2.0 R1600TIII Review

In the world of audio equipment, where one often has to choose between looks and sound quality, the Edifier R1600TIII proves that you can have both. These elegant, compact 2.0 speakers are a prime example of how functionality and design can go hand in hand – with excellent results.

From the very first glance, it’s clear that the designers didn’t take any shortcuts. The minimalist, slightly angled construction not only looks great but also improves sound projection – this is not just about aesthetics, it’s smart acoustics. The MDF enclosures help reduce unwanted resonance, resulting in cleaner, more natural sound.

Inside, the R1600TIII hides impressive technology: a Class D amplifier supported by Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Dynamic Range Control (DRC). In practice, this means clear, balanced audio – whether you’re enjoying smooth jazz, watching an action movie, or gaming. The 4-inch woofers deliver deep, punchy bass, while the 19 mm silk dome tweeters take care of crisp, detailed highs. With 60 W of RMS power, these speakers can easily fill a medium-sized room with rich sound.

In daily use, the practical features really shine. Two RCA inputs allow for easy connection to multiple audio sources (like a computer and a console at the same time), while the side-mounted knobs make volume and tone adjustments quick and intuitive. There’s also a handy remote control – perfect for when you’re relaxing and don’t feel like getting up just to change the volume.

The Edifier R1600TIII hits the sweet spot for today’s user: high-quality sound, attractive design, and easy operation. It won’t break the bank, yet it feels like a premium product. Whether you’re outfitting your office, living room, or gaming setup – these speakers are a choice you won’t regret.

  1. Great speakers! 60 W in PC speakers is a lot. Only a good sound card shows their full potential. You can hear the difference in quality between mp3 and flac files. 😉
